Laura Elena Cordero, born in Mexico, graduated as a computer science engineer and obtained a specialization at EPFL. She lived in various countries: Mexico, Switzerland, the USA and Germany. She speaks fluently five languages and resides currently near Lausanne.
Following her passion and starting a new career path, filmmaking, she initiated with a journalistic agency in London. Shortly after she wrote and produced two tv spots "The Joy of Freedom" and "The Pleasure of Reading" (2001), which were broadcasted worldwide on the UNICEF International Children's Day. She followed Europe Media programs in Ronda and Kilkenny, such as ARISTA, training courses for assitant directors and script writers courses with Keith Cunningham. Then Laura Elena produced and directed "City of Diversity - Frankfurt am Main" (2004), and wrote, produced and directed her first short film "Eine Frage der Zeit" (2004), shot in 24 locations (20 minutes, 16mm), which obtained the Prädikat "Wertvoll" from the "Deutsche Film- und Medienbewertung" of Wiesbaden.
